2008 Event Schedule
June 27 - 29th – Remote Controlled Aircraft Meet:
Radio
controlled races for giant scale model aircraft. They must be of a scale based
on a 100" wingspan. This event is a sanctioned Unlimited Scale Racing
Association.
June 28th Annual Fly-in
Breakfast:
This
is sponsored by the Wiebe's and the City of
July 5th - Experimental Aircraft
Association Fly-in:
The
Wichita Chapter of the EAA sponsors this event and do
their own advertising and preparations.
September 5th and 6th – 99’s Sunflower Rally:
Sponsored by the Kansas Chapter of
International Ninety-Nines (all women pilots). This is a proficiency race where
pilots race against their own piloting skills and knowledge of their aircraft.
The
Ninety-Nines do their own advertising and organizing for this event.
October 12 – Customer Appreciation Fly-In:
This
event is hosted by the City and Wiebe Air Repair in appreciation for those
pilots who purchase fuel and house aircraft at the airport and also customers
of Wiebe Air Repair.
