Frequently asked questions about the proposed changes to the trash collection system:

Will I still receive black bags?

The City will no longer deliver BLACK bags once the cart program has been implemented throughout the entire City. Only those sanitation customers that are a “special pick up” will be provided with bags. Black bags will still be available for purchase at City Hall.

Will I still receive clear recycling bags?

The City will deliver two rolls of Clear bags in March.

What if I have more trash than will fit in my cart?

If you have more trash than will fit into your cart ORANGE VOLUME bags will still be available for purchase at City Hall and Dillons.

What if I can no longer get my cart to the curb?

If you can no longer get your cart to the curb you may call 322-4481and request to be placed on the “special pick up” list.

If I’m a “special pick up” will I still receive a cart?

People that require a “special pick up” will NOT receive a cart but will receive BLACK bags instead.

I can’t get my cart to the curb by 7 a.m.

Carts may be set out the night before collection but must be removed from the curb with in 24 hours of collection.
