collected on Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be on their
normal refuse and recycle schedule.
Independence
Day – July 5, 2010

Labor
Day – Monday, September 6, 2010

Veterans
Day – Thursday, November 11, 2010
Refuse and Recycle routes will
run as normal.
Thanksgiving
– November 25, 2010
Residential customers who are
normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Wednesday.
All other days of collection
will remain unchanged.
Christmas
Eve – December 24, 2010 ~ New Years Eve – December 31, 2010
Christmas
and New Years Day both fall on Saturday this year, we
will be observing these holidays on Friday. Customers who are
normally collected on Friday will be collected on Thursday. Customers who
are normally collected on Thursday will be collected on Wednesday.
Residents
are encouraged to assist the Sanitation Division with the EXTRA HEAVY load by
following the recommendations below prior to placing your refuse on the curb.
(1)
Use
black plastic bags for household refuse and Christmas wrapping paper
(2)
Remember
to recycle chipped cardboard, break it down and place in the clear recycling
bags.
(3)
Corrugated
cardboard can be broken down and put in the clear bag is small enough or break
down large pieces and place on the curb under your recycling bags.
This procedure
will assist our collection crews in providing complete services to our
customers in a timely manner.
In
order to allow residents to dispose of extra refuse which may have been
generated during Christmas, the requirement of using special orange volume will
be waived during the period of December 27th
through December 30th. This special waiver is for extra
holiday refuse only and does not include any other form of waste.
