Spring Clean-Up 2010 April 12-16th

The City of El Dorado Public Works Department encourages all residents to participate in the community wide Spring Clean-Up Week.  This special service includes waste collection at the curbside of specified areas within the El Dorado City limits during this week.

Guidelines are as follows:

1.      Collection will be on your normal trash day, items to be discarded must be set out behind the curb by 7 AM.

2.      Items should be put in disposable containers not weighing more than 25 pounds.  All containers set out will be picked up.

E-Waste is a new service we have also added to Spring Clean-Up.  You can set out electronic items (i.e. T.V., Computers, Stereos, DVD/VCR’s etc.) that will be picked up at the curb and taken to the local E-Waste recycling location.

3.      Limbs should be cut into lengths of 6 ft. or less.  Smaller limbs should be bundled or put in disposable containers. There will be NO grass, leaves, or garden waste picked up do to the county ban on these items. Citizens are encouraged to use the city yard waste site to dispose of these items.

4.      Items NOT included in this service are as follows: Tires, batteries, hazardous materials, couches, recliners, mattresses, large appliances, air conditioners, and hot water heaters.

Residents are asked to please keep limbs, metal, e-waste and trash in separate piles.  They are collected by different trucks to be taken to the correct location for disposal.
