  2. Brown Bag Lunch- Great Plains Dulcimer Alliance

    Join us at noon on Tuesday, November 19th for some Celtic and Popular harp music performed by Suzanne Shields. Admission is free, light desserts and drinks are provided. The Great Plains Dulcimer Alliance (GPDA) will be presenting Victorian Christmas music played on a variety of string instruments such as the hammered dulcimer, guitar, and mandolin. Founded in 1982, the Great Plains Dulcimer Alliance has been dedicated to keeping alive the art of playing Hammered and Mountain Dulcimers, acoustic instruments of all types, and the playing of Folk and Traditional music. Members of the GPDA consist of both novice and experienced musicians who enjoy playing and performing traditional American music on an assortment of acoustic instruments including the hammered and mountain dulcimer, guitar, mandolin banjo, autoharp and fiddle. Main Calendar

  1. City Commission Meeting

    December 16, 2019, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ City Hall

    The City Commission meets twice each month, on the first and third Mondays, at 6:30 PM CST. The meetings are open to the public and held in the Commission Room of City Hall at 220 East First in El Dorado. For those who cannot attend, the meetings are shown LIVE on cable channel 7, as well as videotaped and rebroadcasted at 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday following the meeting. The meetings can also be viewed online. The governing body is comprised of four City Commissioners and one Mayor, who presides over the council meetings. The City Commissioners are elected every four years, on a two year rotating schedule. Every two years, the mayor and two of the commissioners are elected. The governing body serves the public and welcomes public comments.
