  2. Summer Lecture Series - Butler County Ghost Towns

    An intent audience gathers to hear Ken Spurgeon, Consulting Historian to the Kansas Oil Museum speak at the Volunteer Appreciation and Annual Meeting Dinner held April 23rd. Spurgeon, a historian, author, educator, and film-maker will be headlining the 1st of the five Summer Lectures in this year's series. He was recently awarded the 2018 Western Heritage Award (Wrangler) for Best Docudrama by the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for his movie, "Home on the Range". Please join us to hear Ken Spurgeon speak on "Butler County Ghost Towns" at 5:30 pm on Thursday, June 13th. Limited seats are available, please call for reservations soon to 316/321-9333. Tickets are only $15 or $10 for KOM Members.

Free ice cream for the 1st 100 and then settle back in the lawn chair your brought & enjoy the music of Kyle Killgore, Acoustical Guitarist. The concert is free, open to the public & family friendly.     Kyle Killgore will be presenting an Acoustical Guitar Concert starting at 7:30 pm. This is the 1st of our Summer Concert Series. The concerts are free & open to the public. Just bring your lawn chairs & enjoy the show. There will be food trucks including Misfit_Kitchen & Noble House Hawaiian for all to enjoy during the event. Gates open at 6:30 pm.
