Welcome to the web site of the El Dorado Police Department. El Dorado Kansas is a city of the second class with a population of about 13,000. It is located in South Central Kansas at the juncture of several state and federal highways, including I-35. Our resources are agriculture and oil production. We have a growing industrial park, which is supported by an excellent lake.
The department has 26 sworn officers who serve the citizens through the philosophy of community policing. We are committed to excellence in law enforcement, boasting one of the lowest crime rates in the area.
