Welcome to the El Dorado Fire Department web Page. We hope it is enjoyable and informative to you. The El Dorado Fire Department prides itself in its dedication to those we serve and in its professionalism. Our Personnel put in many hours every year dedicating their time to the community.

The El Dorado Fire Department provides a wide range of services.

Our fire inspection program insures that our community is a safe place to live. Our personnel devote untold hours in inspecting businesses, and at the same time, familiarizing themselves with the business.

85% of our paid personnel, as well as many of our volunteers, are Certified Emergency Medical Technicians. So in an effort to provide the best service for the citizens of El Dorado, we have chosen to respond in cooperation with Butler County EMS to a wide variety of Emergencies

Most of our paid staff is certified to Hazardous Materials Technician level, and many of our volunteers have obtained a certification of Operations. The El Dorado Fire department is responsible for responding to a wide range of Hazardous Materials calls. Responding not only to emergencies within the City of El Dorado, but also within Butler County, Kansas.

Our Department Strives to look into the future and see where it may lead us. Just as first responders have become a vital part of a Fire Department, we are planning and training for the next challenge that may come before us. The City of El Dorado has a Fire Department that they should be proud of.
