Emergency interim successors for the city officers of the city shall be as follows:

A. In the event any member or members of the board of commissioners of the city or the city manager shall be unavailable following an attack, then the remaining member or members of the board of commissioners shall designate an emergency interim successor for each member of the board who is unavailable and for the city manager; provided, that if all members of the board of commissioners are unavailable following an attack, then the city manager shall designate an emergency interim successor for each member of the board of commissioners.

B. In the event any officer of the city, other than members of the board of commissioners of the city and the city manager, is unavailable following an attack, then the city manager shall designate an emergency interim successor for such officer. (Prior code § 1-802)
