No license shall be issued for a public dancehall or place unless the premises operated and maintained by the licensee shall have a minimum unencumbered dance area of four hundred (400) square feet. The license fee for each public dancehall or place as above provided, operated or maintained, shall be:

A. Per day--five dollars ($5.00);

B. Per year--fifty dollars ($50.00). (Prior code § 6-203)
