5.08.055 Temporary place of business.

A. Any transient vendor that shall have a vehicle, wagon, trailer, or stand set up at a location shall be known as a temporary place of business and shall be located within the city limits a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) days out of the three hundred sixty-five (365) days following the permit issue date. The business may only be located on lots that are zoned appropriately. The business shall obtain a permit from the city clerk before setting up the vehicle, wagon, trailer, or stand from which sales are to take place. The permit shall be subject to all the requirements of Section 5.08.050 Transient Vendors and the following additional requirements:

1. All such businesses shall provide the building official a proposed location for the vehicle, wagon, trailer, or stand for approval;

2. All such businesses shall be subject to the city fire code and shall meet minimum health and safety requirements as determined by the fire marshall and building official.

B. Any person, firm or corporation that sells any type of product or service which wishes to be located in or operate in the city of El Dorado longer than one hundred twenty (120) days per year must have a permanent building which meets all of the building, zoning, and fire code regulations as established by the city.

C. The city manager shall have the authority to exempt any vendor from any of the above requirements. (Ord. G-1026 § 2, 2008)
