5.24.090 Violation--Penalty.

Every person, firm, association or corporation who shall in any manner engage in or conduct a public auction, without having first obtained a license as hereinbefore provided, or who shall knowingly advertise, represent or hold forth any sale of goods, wares or merchandise to be conducted contrary to the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00), or be imprisoned not to exceed thirty (30) days, or be both so fined and imprisoned.
