Chapter 8.04 REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
8.04.070 Service charges—Business and commercial.
Business and commercial homes, motels, hotels, cafes, grocery stores,
multiple-family units conforming to Section 8.04.060(D) and all business or
commercial houses located within the city having a considerable amount of refuse
to be removed, shall be charged a fee per month based on the size of container
and pickups per week. The service fee shall be based on the following criteria:
(1) pickup charge, (2) container rental, (3) equipment reserve, and (4) disposal
charge. The service fee will be reviewed on December 1st of each year for
possible adjustments. Those establishments located outside the city, shall be
charged one hundred twenty-five (125) percent of the in-city rate. Refuse shall
be collected daily as needed with refuse being collected at least once per week,
except Sundays and holidays, from business and commercial places. The director
of public works or a designee shall have the responsibility to review refuse
service at each location to determine whether adequate storage of refuse is
available.
This section is supplemented by Exhibit A attached to the
ordinance codified in this section and incorporated herein by reference and
contains the commercial residential rate schedule to be effective January 1,
