Chapter 8.04 REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
8.04.100 Delinquent bills.
If any bill for city refuse collection is not paid within fifteen (15)
days after the date shown on the bill, the bill shall be considered delinquent,
and if the same becomes delinquent, five percent shall be added to the amount
thereof as penalty; provided, that if the bill, including penalty, is not paid
within twenty-five (25) days from the date the same becomes due, city refuse
collection service to the customer shall be discontinued and shall not be
resumed until all past bills due for refuse collection are paid in full,
together with a charge of four dollars ($4.00) for resumption of such service.
As an additional remedy, the city, at its option, may discontinue water service
to the customer which shall not be resumed until all past due bills for refuse
collection, sewage disposal and water service are paid in full, including the
four dollar ($4.00) charge for resumption of refuse service and the customary
charge for resumption of sewage disposal and water service, as applicable. (Ord.
