Chapter 8.04 REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
8.04.120 Hauling refuse.
A. It is unlawful for any person to haul or convey refuse over the
streets, alleys or public ways of the city except in a vehicle with a covering
or in a covered receptacle or otherwise so confined that refuse cannot escape
therefrom or be scattered upon the streets, alleys or public ways of the
city.
B. Nothing herein contained shall prohibit any person from
transporting their own refuse; provided, that the same shall be transported so
that intervals of disposal shall be not less than prescribed for refuse
collection by the city, or as otherwise set by resolution adopted by the city
commission.
C. Subject to such rules and regulations as shall be adopted
by the city commission, any person who transports their own refuse as provided
in this section shall be exempted from payment of the service charges provided
for in Sections 8.04.060 and 8.04.070 of this chapter. (Prior code §
