Chapter 8.13 ABATEMENT OF NUISANCES
8.13.070 Same—Contents.
The order shall state the condition(s) which is (are) in violation of
Section 8.13.020 of this chapter. The order shall also inform the person,
corporation, partnership or association that:
A. He, she or they shall
have ten days from the receipt of the order to abate the condition(s) in
violation of Section 8.13.020 of this chapter; provided, however, that the
public officer shall grant one or more extensions of the ten-day period if the
owner or agent of the property demonstrates that due diligence is being
exercised in the abatement of the conditions in violation of Section 8.13.020 of
this chapter; or
B. He, she or they have ten days from the receipt of
the order, plus any additional time granted under subsection (A) of this
section, to request a hearing before the city manager, the designated
representative of the governing body as provided by Section 8.13.100 of this
chapter;
C. Failure to abate the condition(s) or to request a hearing
within the time allowed may result in prosecution as provided by Section
8.13.080 of this chapter and/or abatement of the condition(s) by the city as
provided by Section 8.13.090 of this chapter. (Ord. G-979 § 1 (part),
