Amendments to the Standard Traffic Ordinance incorporated by Section 10.04.010 of this chapter shall be as follows:

A. Article 13 shall be amended as follows:

Article 13, Section 97 -- Limited Parking Zones. The penalties for violations within a twelve-month period shall be as follows: (1) for the first violation, a warning; (2) for the second violation, a fine of five dollars ($5.00); (3) for the third violation, a fine of fifteen dollars ($15.00); and (4) for the fourth and any subsequent violations, a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Repeat offenders and those who have not paid the fines imposed within seventy-two (72) hours of the time shown on the notice shall be subject to being issued a notice to appear in municipal court for their failure to pay the fines imposed or for their repeated offenses. The person so noticed to appear may then be subjected to the penalties provided for in Section 201 of the Standard Traffic Ordinance.

B. Article 13 shall be amended by the addition of the following section:

100(a). Penalty. Any person or persons who violate any provision of Article 13 of the Standard Traffic Ordinance, as amended, or any person who aids, abets or assists therein, will, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount not exceeding $50.

C. Article 13, Section 85, Stopping, standing or parking prohibited in specified places, is amended by adding thereto the following subsection:

(f) The chief of police of such city shall have the authority to place the official signs referred to in Section 85 of such Standard Traffic Ordinance, subsection (a)(11), (b)(6) and (c)(2) at such location as he or she shall deem necessary.
