Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter, for which another penalty is not specifically provided shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00); provided, that if any person shall continue any obstruction or make any unlawful use, as in this chapter provided, of any sidewalk, street or public way in the city after being notified by the chief of police to remove the obstruction or cease to make unlawful use of such place, the same shall constitute a separate offense hereunder.
