When the condition of the sidewalk or pavement in the opinion of the city engineer requires it, the pavement or sidewalk shall be cut by the use of a concrete saw; provided, that the city may supply such cutting equipment with an operator at a fee sufficient to pay the reasonable cost of labor and replacement of the equipment. All such fees shall be paid to the city clerk and deposited in the general fund of the city. (Prior code § 14-204)
