Chapter 13.04 WATER SERVICE SYSTEM
13.04.020 Water accounts.
The city clerk shall by virtue of his or her office be the collector of
accounts due the city for the sale of water service and shall prepare the
monthly bill of all such accounts from meter readings supplied him or her by
employees of the department. All meters shall be read and accounts billed in
accordance with the rules of the department. The city clerk shall keep separate
accounts with each customer showing the complete transactions between the city
and each such customer. He or she shall keep a separate water fund, a sales tax
fund, and such other funds and accounts as may be required by ordinance or law.
He or she shall prepare such monthly reports respecting the financial
transactions of the business as may be required by the city manager. (Prior code
