The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public water supply of the city from contamination due to backflow or back-siphonage from any cross-connection; and to prohibit and eliminate all cross-connections to the public water supply; and to provide for the maintenance of a continuing effective cross-connection control program. This program shall include regularly scheduled inspections to detect and eliminate current cross-connections and to prevent future cross-connections. (Ord. G-667 § 1, 1992)
