Chapter 15.32 PLUMBING AND GAS FITTING CODE
15.32.030 Board of plumbing appeals.
There is created a board of plumbing appeals. This board shall consist of
three members, one member shall be an individual not engaged in the business of
plumbing or gas fitting. Said members shall be appointed by the city manager for
a term of one year from the first day of January in the year of the appointment.
Such an appointment shall be made annually on or before the first day of
January. A maximum service of three years is established for each member of the
board of appeals of plumbers. Following which a former member will not be
eligible for reappointment until three years have elapsed. The city manager may
make exceptions to this policy in the event of unusual circumstances in which
adherence to the above policy may not be practicable. The plumbing inspector
shall be secretary ex officio for the board and shall keep records of the
meetings and proceedings of the board and have custody of its records. The board
shall meet at the call of the chairman. The secretary shall have the authority
to vote on any matter where the vote of the board shall result in a tie. The
board shall adopt rules and regulations for its government as its business may
