Project Good Morning

Project Good Morning is a service provided to the elderly and disabled citizens of El Dorado. The program is in place to provide those participating a sense of security and independence through daily check-ins.

To participate in the program one must:

  • Reside within the city limits of El Dorado
  • Live alone, or if you live with another person, that person is unable to render you assistance in an emergency.
  • Be able to call the El Dorado Police Department every day between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
  • Must notify the El Dorado Police Department if you will be away or unable to call in. (For example: you are going away with relatives for a few days, or you will be gone during the normal check-in time for an appointment or a day trip)
  • Provide the police department with a key to your residence.
(The key will be kept at the police department in a lockbox and will only be used in apparent emergency situations to gain access to your residence)
